The Directors of Friends For Zambia have agreed to be responsible for administrative costs including travel so that 100% of all funds raised goes directly to the Twitti School Project. One of the Directors visits Zambia each year, when possible, to see in person how the school is operating.
COVID delayed planned trips to Zambia after Directors Shelley and Patricia's joint visit in 2018 and Director Judy's trip in 2019. The most recent visit was by Shelley in June of 2023. You can download and read her report , and all of the visits, in the Visits to Twitti Page. Patricia is planning a trip for 2024.
Our recent campaign COVID 19 raised about $40,000 CAD to help Twitti Primary School with expenses related to preparing the school during the pandemic. This included purchases of PPE, 2 solar panels, a Sunverter, a back-up generator and an automatic control to switch power sources.
