The Directors of Friends For Zambia have agreed to be responsible for administrative costs including travel so that 100% of all funds raised goes directly to the Twitti School Project. One of the Directors visits Zambia each year, when possible, to see in person how the school is operating.
COVID delayed the trips planned after Directors Shelley and Patricia's joint visit in 2018 and Director Judy's trip in 2019. The most recent visit was by Shelley in June of 2023. You can download and read her report, and all of the visits, in the Visits to Twitti Page.
Our recent fundraising campaign raised funds to make repairs and upgrades to several of the buildings on the Twitti School campus. See the details here:
Replacement of vertical blinds in Library and Administration.
Painting of interior of the administration building.
Painting of the exterior of the classroom buildings.
Repair of cracks in cement classroom floors and walls.
Replacement of broken toilets and doors in the children's washrooms.
Repairs to the badly cracked Basketball Court
The budget for these repairs is $35,000 CDN.
